Nashville was my big trip for the year. I had it planned out since january and with my transfer from one store to another store for the day job, it almost didn't happen! Fortunately, schedules got corrected and I took my 2nd solo trip ever to one of the most gorgeous cities I've visited yet.

For the week that I was there I got to drive around in my rental car(which had a nav system in it-thank God! cause I got lost like 5 times the whole week). I saw most of the sites: Country Music Hall of Fame, Andrew Jackson's Hermitage, Broadway in downtown which is the tourist strip, visited the very famous and surprisingly quaint Music Row, got a song criticed, played an open mic(in a Holiday Inn Hotel no less), visited Franklin TN where a huge Civil War battle happened, and probably one of the toppers of the week was visiting the walking bridge where one of my favorite bands shot part of a video at. 'That's What You Get' from Paramore. Why I didn't vote for them for a Grammy or even know OF them last year is beyond me. Good music finds me like Heintz ketchup stuck in the bottle. Its slow to my ear. Who knows. Anyways, even though I was slow to know of them I did manage to score a ticket for tonights show in San Diego.

The whole week was chill and I took one trip a day over the week so not to go cramm it all at once. It was my first trip of many more in the future. My first impression was nothing but love. Franklin and Nashville are worth traveling to in the summertime. Not too hot or muggy and just right. I'm off to rock my sleepy head all night long.

Please do come out on the 22nd! Its for a great cause and unfortunately, recently I've had a dear friend pass away from complications from surgery to remove colon cancer. We knew each other very well for the 4 years of working side by side. This show is especially meaningful right now. Its a small $5 donation at the door and your getting lots of music for cheap.
